Meet The Coordinator
 | Welcome to my online adventure!! My name is Lauren Haugh, and I am the owner and Retreat Coordinator here at Mom's Online Retreat. I, too, am a Mom with two beautiful boys, Batman, 6 and Robin, 3. My husband and I have been happily married since May, 1995. I feel very fortunate and quite blessed to be able to be at home with our children. This is living a dream, in some respects. |
My background is much like that of many Work at Home Moms. I spent 14 years working outside my home. In February of 2001, we had our first son and I returned to work after maternity leave. Then 9/11 happened. The introspection one goes through at a time like that, after such an occurrence. What compounded it for me was, on that very same day, my Mom was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Our priorities were rearranged, my husband took a second job, and in December, 2001 I left my position as Supervisor of Rehabilitation Services.
For almost four years, I worked full time as a Stay at Home Mom. I was able to be there for my Mom, when she needed me, and I was able to be at the hospital in the end. We lost her in May, 2003. I was most thankful that I didn't have to be concerned with time away from work, and calling in every day. I was able to focus on the issues that were most important to me.
Our boys then became the focus of my days and nights. And to be quite honest with you, I kind of lost myself in that role. I have always been an Internet Junkie. That is how I fell into doing business online - since then I have become involved in many online business ventures - mostly aimed at helping Work at Home Moms.
Mom's Online Retreat was born out of my desire to give all us Moms a place to go to focus on our interests, not our families-a new online hideout! Of course, as Moms, a big part of our interests involve our family, so you'll see I can't avoid the subject 100% of the time.
As the Owner and Coordinator of Mom's Online Retreat, I look forward to any feedback, questions or comments you may have. I am always open to suggestions as well. If you were not able to find what you were looking for, or if you would like to see something added, please feel free to contact me. Customer service is of utmost importance to me, and I do my best to reply to all correspondence within the same day, when possible.
